Today, 22nd April we Celebrate Earth Day

Back to news

In his letter of 18 June 2013 Pope Frincis callled all people of the world to take swift and global action in the care of Earth, our Common Home. He wrote, “All of us can cooperate as instruments of God for the care of creation, each according to his or her own culture, experience, involvements and talents.” (Laudato Si, Par.14). Pope Francis reminds us that this is not only our home, it is the home of all creature, all living forms, and  “because all creatures are connected, each must be cherished with love and respect, for all of us as living creatures are dependent on one another”. (Par. 42).

Today, 22nd April is EARTH DAY; a time for reflection and take action. Every contribution, every effort counts. Caring for the Earth is in our own best interest and in the interest of all creatures, all of life.
