Palm Sunday, often referred to as “Passion Sunday” because of the events that took place that week, marks the beginning of Holy Week, which concludes on Easter Sunday.
On Palm Sunday we celebrate Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem, greeted by his followers waving palms, marking the beginning of the week of his Passion, Death and Resurrection, the most sacred week in our Christian calendar.
Palm Sunday is an opportunity to reflect on the events of the week ahead and to make ourselves ready for the commemoration of Jesus’ suffering, death and resurrection. You might like to reflect on the questions posed in this video as part of your preparation.
