Civil unrest and armed conflicts continue to dominate the news. A glance at the number of ongoing conflicts recorded on the Wars in the World site, updated regularly, reveals that no region of our globe is immune from conflict: 29 countries in Africa; 16 in Asia, 10 in Europe, 7 in the Middle East; 5 in the Americas – 67 countries in all. It makes for sobering reading.
And so we pray..
V. Fill us with peace, that we may live
as brothers and sisters, harming no one.
