On Sunday of the third week of Advent the Scripture reading from the Prophet Isaiah sets the ideal of the Christian life before us. It says, “the Spirit of God has been given to me, for He has anointed me. He has sent me to bring good news to the poor, to bind up hearts that are broken…” (Isaiah 61: 1).
Let this message find a home in us this day and every day as we join together on this Advent journey.
