This is a five-minute video giving an overview of the Pope’s latest Encyclical – Fratelli Tutti. Pope Francis signed the Encyclical in Assisi on October 3, the vigil of the feast of St. Francis. It was published on October 4th the feast of St. Francis. It has been described as a social encyclical calling all of humanity to fraternity and social friendship.
We pray in the words of the prayer offered at the end of the Encyclical:
Grant that we Christians may live the Gospel,
discovering Christ in each human being,
recognizing him crucified
in the sufferings of the abandoned
and forgotten of our world,
and risen in each brother or sister
who makes a new start.
