Michaeli was one of a family of six – three sisters and two brothers. She is survived by her sister, Bridie, a patient at Bailey’s Nursing Home, Collooney, Co. Sligo; also her niece, Mary, nephews, Gerard, John and Michael, and her many grandnieces and grandnephews.
Michaeli had many lovable qualities; she was a very kind, gentle person and endeared herself to everyone she met. She was very close to her family. A very special place was kept in her heart for her niece, Mary, and three nephews; also her grandnieces and grandnephews and of course her beloved Sligo.
After a long illness bravely borne, Michaeli died peacefully on 23rd February 2011. She had been gently cared for by the Community and staff at Wexford Convent and will be greatly missed by them.
Her funeral Mass was celebrated by Fr. Jim Finn and assisted by Mgr. Lory Kehoe. The congregation joined in singing one of her favourite hymns, Lady of Knock. Following her requiem, she was laid to rest in the Convent Cemetery, Newtown Road, Wexford.
