Anastasia Meany was born 26th May 1904, the daughter of John Meany and Bridget Barron of Upper Ballylogue, The Rower. Anastasia had five siblings, she being the fourth child.
Anastasia entered the St. John of God Novitiate on the 14th October 1924. She took the name Raymond in Religion. She made her First Profession on 25th June 1927.
She trained as a nurse and spent most of her religious life working as a nurse in Wexford.
Raymond was a unique character and a strong Kilkenny supporter.
She died in Ely House, Wexford on April 1st 1992 and is buried in Wexford Convent Cemetery.
