8 December: Day 14 of 16 Days of Activism against Gender Violence

Back to news

Female refugees fleeing conflict face many challenges in their attempts to seek refuge or asylum in Europe. Trafficking is one of the main threats to be faced while crossing the so-called “transit zones” through coercion or kidnap by smugglers and slave traders. Some have been raped, beaten or sexually exploited during their journey, while others flee gender-based violence in their home countries.

Light your candle and join us in prayer, thought or reflection today
