25 November: Day 1 of 16 Days of Activism against Gender Violence

Back to news

The Report ‘Global Estimates of Modern Slavery’ estimates 40 million in modern slavery.

According to the report, the vast majority of all human trafficking victims – some 71 per cent – are women and girls and one third are children. Women and girls are trafficked for many reasons including domestic servitude, forced marriage and sexual slavery.

Light your candle and join us in prayer, thought or reflection today
for all the Women and Girls who, in 2018, make up the majority of people who have been trafficked in our world.
