Our Logo
Our Logo is a ripe open pomegranate surmounted by a cross.
The pomegranate has been used from ancient times as a symbol of healing and the fullness of life.
We chose the pomegranate as our Congregation emblem because of its rich symbolism and its association with St. John of God and the city of Granada.
For Sisters of St. John of God the combination of pomegranate and cross is an expressive reminder of our commitment to following the Gospel way of living taught by Jesus Christ.
This beautiful symbol inspires and challenges us to be a healing and compassionate presence to our sisters and brothers.
